The Future of Retail and the Convergence of Customer Centricity, IoT and Omnichannel

Samantha Starmer is currently Vice President of Global Digital Experiences for Ralph Lauren in New York City. Her passion is the intersection between humans and technology and how to ideate, create, and deliver holistic customer experiences across time and space, physical and digital. Samantha has over 15 years of experience in leading large, customer experience and product management programs from strategy through design and execution at companies such as REI, Razorfish Microsoft and Amazon. Samantha has taught graduate level courses at the University of Washington and Kent State University, and has been fortunate to write, present and teach globally on digital product design, service design and customer experience.

I am a creative and client-focused senior architect, who graduated in Milan in 2001 and since then helped global luxury companies represent their brands through exceptional design concepts.

I worked for brands like Ermenegildo Zegna, Roberto Cavalli, Max Mara and Charlotte Olympia and with architects like Peter Marino, Foster and Partners and Jean Nouvel. I am highly adept at translating the visions companies have for their brand and their products, and translating them into innovative concepts, store designs, and customer experiences.

I moved to London two years ago and I am currently partnering with Thomas Pink, an international luxury shirts brand part of the LVMH group. The relaunch of the brand went through the creation of a new scalable store concept, which was tested in a pilot store and has become the current concept for Thomas Pink’s stores world wide.

My strong interpersonal skills allow me to work effectively at all levels. Whether I am partnering with client teams on store planning, leading contractors and internal teams, advising executives, or facilitating design solutions, I strive to add exceptional value. I continuously seek opportunities to apply best practices and deliver world-class designs.
